Dr. Christopher Offutt is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine / College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He was accepted with honors being one of only five students to receive the Presidential Scholarship upon entrance in 1992. During Dr. Offutt's studies he was very active in the biomechanics & orthopedics departments and became interested in research and literature in podiatric medicine. Dr. Offutt was well recognized by his peers and became one of few medical school graduates in 1996 to enter a residency specialized in biomechanics, orthopedics, and primary podiatric medicine promoting the most conservative and advanced non-invasive treatment measures to alleviate the suffering of foot and ankle disorders. His residency was sponsored by the College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery where he excelled in all areas-surgery, research, biomechanics, orthopedics, and medicine. While Dr. Offutt promotes the use of the most conservative treatment measures he is well trained and knowledgeable in all surgical aspects of podiatric medicine. During his residency he trained with 16 podiatrists at 5 hospitals where the latest state of the art podiatric surgical techniques were mastered.
Dr. Christopher Offutt is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Colorado Podiatric Medical Association, American Diabetes Association, American Academy of Pain Management, and several small business organizations where he is an active member. He has privileges at several hospitals and enjoys working with his colleagues in other areas of medical expertise for consultation and referrals when necessary.
Dr. Offutt began his practice in 1997 in Pagosa Springs and Alamosa where he enjoyed the outdoors including skiing, snowboarding, flying, hiking, and bicycling. He became a private pilot in 2001 and enjoys flying to mountain towns like Telluride and Steamboat Springs with his family for weekend get-aways. He and his wife Stacy have 2 children, Katie and Seth. They have moved to the city to begin a new practice and return to the front range where Dr. Offutt spent much of his life growing up. In 1986 he graduated valedictorian of Manitou Springs High School where he was very active in school activities and sports. He was accepted to several prestigious universities and was appointed to both West Point and the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. Offutt and his wife live in Colorado because they believe that there exists no better place in this country. The scenery, climate, activities, people and environment are the best he and his wife have encountered across the country. He is here to stay and now offers his services to the people of South Denver using the latest new equipment and instrumentation in the medical field in a new medical building completed January of 2006 Dr. Offutt is excited to offer his expertise and knowledge with the highest quality foot and ankle care possible.
